Risk Assessment
Prospective Risks
When smashing the wine glass there was a risk that we could have cut ourselves.
Who is affected by the risk?
Everyone in the team (including the actress; Emily) was affected by the risk of cutting of ourselves on the broken glass.
We smashed the glass in a controlled environment as we put a towel round the area we smashed it to avoid stepping on glass, and we swept it up.
Nya provided the towel and set it in place while me (Skye) and Lolita cleared up the glass and made sure there was no glass shards left.
Defensive Measures
Errands/Responsibilities
Risk of spilling the red wine on the cream carpet, creating a red stain.
Nya was affected by the risk as we filmed at her house and her carpet would have been ruined.
We smashed the glass on the fireplace and covered the surrounding carpet area with a large towel so that we wouldn’t create a stain on the carpet.
Nya provided the towel and set it in place to prevent a stain appearing on the carpet.
When the actress was running outside the gate, she accidently nudged a brick on the wall which almost fell off.
The actress was at risk of knocking the brick onto her feet and Nya was at risk of a quarter of her wall to be ruined.
We re-filmed the actress running outside past the gate but told her not to touch the brick to avoid it falling.
The actress didn’t touch the wall/brick again.
Low risk of actress burning herself as she threw pictures into the fireplace.
The actress was affected as she would've burnt herself.
We told her to keep her hands away from the fire and throw the pictures in from a safe enough distance.
We as a group all had to ensure the actress kept a safe enough distance from the fire.
Risk of actress forgetting her direction.
The group was affected as it would've taken us longer to film.
I acted as a script and director supervisor to ensure that the actress would not forget her direction.
I had the responsibility of being the script/director supervisor.
