Understanding camera shots and angles

Camera Shots

By undestanding different camera angles we can potray different emotions we want our audience to percieve as different shots mean differnt things.

This medium shot focuses on the person from their head to usually their knees, giving the audience a clear view.

This big close up is captured zoomed in into the characters face, focusing on the characters facial details cropping out the hair and up to chin. usuallyused when the character is speaking in the scene.

This camera angle is different from the big close up as it focuses on the whole head showing the hair and sometimes neck. again showing the details of the characters face.

This camera is the closest you will get to a face as it focuses on each detail on the face such as eyes, nose, lips etc but showing the whole face, cropping the ears , forehead etc.

This camera angle shows the character from head to toe, it shows what they are wearing and what they are doing.

This camera shot focus on the character from head to hips, showing their hand gestures and anything above.

This camera shot reveals the location and the whole body of the character. giving the audience a clear view of where they are and what theybare doing.
